The Kami no Niwatsuki Kusugi Residence is a cozy, resource-managing garden game where the mountain god shrinks and grows, the tengu exorcises ghosts, and the麒麟 has a surprisingly timid side.
Watching the Mountain God worry over resources like they're playing a box garden game, shrinking and growing, is just so endearing. The Heavenly Fox is cute too, but hearing her in Yamazaki Kana's voice makes you feel a bit nostalgic, knowing this might be her final work for terrestrial TV. The Kirin, with his privileged deep voice, is surprisingly timid, which gives you a little chuckle, and the sudden Pokémon-battle-like developments are really fun. The attention to detail in the water flow and seasonal sweets is great, pulling you deeper into this world. I'm looking forward to the fateful developments next time, but for now, I just want to enjoy the leisurely garden makeover.
