The tweets for Episode 6’s airing and wrap-up were super lively, really capturing the feeling of mountain gods gathering in the spring garden. The staff’s picks, Tsumugi-chan and Inari-san, are adorable as they chow down on handmade sanai (fried tofu pockets) filled with mountain vegetables and sakura manju. I’m getting hungry just watching them! The Chief Animation Director did a great job drawing Minato, and the scenes of the garden bursting with cherry blossoms and Minato shooting beams from his eyes were lovely. The whole episode felt so warm, it made me worry the raw tai fish swimming in the hot spring might get cooked! The jokes about remote mountain gods and Kirin Beer vs. Ebisu Beer were fun too, and now I’m really looking forward to the next episode.
