Everyone's Reactions

Shinpei-san starts off by saying, "It seems like I'll have to die once I leave here," and then asks, "Even if I end up in hell, will you come with me?" It was such a heartwarming moment. After some teasing lines like "I want you to be my courtesan" and "Sorry for joking around," he suddenly gets serious, which almost made my heart stop. The scene where Sayako talks about marriage, saying she'll "be of service to the Kirigaya family," was also a bit poignant, given how hard she's worked as the daughter of a prestigious family. I was drawn in by her dignified tone. I love how it ends with a light-hearted "Let's go see the fireflies every day." It’s not too heavy, not too light, leaving just the right amount of lingering emotion. Plus, getting an encouragement illustration from Tsukioka Tsukihime made me even happier since she's the one who did my wedding cover art.
