Ellen's episode always brings that mix of tension and excitement during the final stage before the paint goes on. Her line, "I won't cry for the paths I didn't choose," is so comforting, and it ties perfectly into the lyrics of "New Walk," making it feel even more poignant. It's great to see both Ellen x Akari and Ellen x Sayuri pairings coexisting so well, and it's sweet to see Koichi waiting for her for 40 minutes. Plus, Akari's setting of dying at 27 is a lovely nod to the 27 Club, and the fluid animation as her Alaya-Vijnana consciousness activates looked super cool.
