I was blown away by the high accuracy of the shojin ryori recreation, from the sweet potato eel kabayaki knockoff to the finished yuzu marmalade. The setting of a temple that's been around for 1,000 years and its 44th abbot really gives the Delicious Expedition team's stage a sense of deep history. The detailed monster designs and the cute hand-holding are adorable, and that 'isn't it all the same?' vibe from Kochikame adds a nice touch of charm. I'm looking forward to Cookrun's kitchen wear showtime next time!
