amazarashi’s "Kanashimi sae Otonabite" was released today as the opening theme for Suikoden: The Anime, and just knowing I get to hear this song in the show makes me so happy. The title has a slightly lonely vibe, which makes me wonder how it’ll connect with the anime’s world, but it’s already got me wanting to listen right now. During the special, the voice actors suddenly popped up on screen, and since I was watching it with that casual, variety-show energy, I genuinely went "huh?!" The CMs were packed with Suikoden goodness too, and seeing the cast having such a good time made me feel like I was hanging out with them. The Blu-ray comes with an all-new drama CD, a collection of scene explanations, and even the soundtrack. Is it too much for fans? If it includes event entry tickets, I’m definitely grabbing Volume 4! Broadcasts on TOKYO MX every Tuesday at 11:30 PM, but BS Asahi airs it on Fridays at the same time. The day shift is a bit scary—I might mess up my recording schedule! I’m worried I’ll miss episodes each week. There’s also a Suikoden exhibition at Suidobashi in May and a collaboration event for the story before joining the Unicorn Army in November. It’s comforting to know Suikoden will be around all next year too.
