Episode 3
Kurumi-chan's reckless move of dumping 3 million yen from her dresser savings and cutting the power... And the ED card! Yukio-sensei's high-risk miracle duo absolutely shines!
Everyone's Reactions
I saw the end card drawn by Yukio-sensei, read that it was called a "high-risk miracle duo," and couldn't help but burst out laughing. There's this wild, untamed vibe in both *Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desu ka?* and *FX Fighter Kurumi-chan*, so it’s hard to predict what’ll happen next week, which makes it all the more exciting. Kurumi-chan had pinned herself to the final defense line at 94 yen with her dad's 3 million yen dresser savings. It seems she just randomly bought more as time went on and eventually cut the power, which felt so real—it actually made my heart race watching it. The psychology of delaying a stop-loss because "this is the bottom" gets explained with terms like prospect theory and sunk cost fallacy, but sitting in front of the screen, those excuses just looped in my head, making me feel anxious as if it were happening to me personally. When I heard Mochiko was annoyed, I thought, "Yeah, frenemies for sure." It’s kind of bittersweet how things get tense even when she wins, and I totally get the urge to say, "Maybe it's time we cut ties." Someone said this felt scarier than horror anime with ghosts and zombies, and I completely agree. Just staring at candlesticks can be entertaining, but keeping your eyes on them for too long takes a toll on your mental health—that’s a quietly terrifying experience.
