Tomoru's final lines really hit home. Seeing him shatter the fake Shangri-La Egg to save Asuka and Heliosmon felt so earned—it made me realize just how much buildup led to that "it'll be okay" moment. With only three episodes left, my heart is swelling up. With over half of the Gogyousei stepping down, it’s bittersweet seeing Rose, Kaito, and Honoka leave. It feels weird that we’ve gone from eight people down to four, but DIGIMON BEATBREAK is known for its cool resignation scenes, so I’m sure they’ll be tear-jerking highlights. The setup with President Ou selecting humanity to create an ideal world, with Sapo-tama constantly monitoring everyone like in PSYCHO-PASS, gives me the chills. Given the remaining episode count, it seems unlikely there will be any tragic pasts revealed. I’m curious to see how this fragile, monster-like presence of his gets completely torn apart by the end. It was such a relief—and made me cry a little—when Tomoru’s grandpa appeared and we learned his parents are safe. Plus, seeing Mokumon by Miharu’s side is one of those small details I really love about this series.
