Fabulous! Lena and Vendomon’s banter over the data and silver bullets, plus Makoto’s crossdressing, is taking the fangirl energy to a whole new level!
Episode 29, "Dangerous Fangirling," has a title that already gets your heart racing. The constant chanting of "Fabulous!" was so funny it felt like the script was basically just that word. Vendomon-sama is handsome, but he’s got a cute, Kanoe Hideko-style misunderstanding going on with the data absorption, which makes him really endearing. It makes sense that silver bullets work as his weakness because they’re treated as data, so the question of whether a human can beat a Digimon fits perfectly. The bond between Lena and Pristmon is beautifully animated, giving you that warm, fuzzy feeling. Their close-quarters combat stances look natural, and Lena’s charm is undeniable, earning a "cool" nod from both guys and girls. Makoto pulls off the crossdressing look so well; he looks like he’s about to fangirl with the same intensity as someone eating triple portions of tsukemen. The ending theme, "Miramira," is apparently dropping on CD on June 10th, which adds to the excitement. With this momentum, I wonder if Lena and the others will evolve to their Perfect forms next. The world where data and emotions intertwine is becoming more and more captivating. I can’t wait for the next episode!
