Episode 4

Everyone's Reactions

Goldlion's debut was definitely the highlight of episode 4. Hearing him introduced as the new "Lion" gave us that classic feeling of our spines straightening up. Kamikara Suruga’s surname, which literally means "from above," is just begging for a tsukkomi from the get-go. He arrives as a transfer student to Takarazuka Academy, and even though it’s his first appearance, he’s already devouring the other characters with such intense energy—wasn’t that just too strong right out of the gate? We thought his handling of the戟刃 (Gekijin) would be all sharp and crisp, but then we got a black-and-white battle scene, complete with a monochrome female executive, which made the screen feel a bit too dark. Next episode’s "Friendship Day" arc seems to reveal the mysterious boy’s true identity, so I’m really curious how he’ll interact with Kamikara.
