Episode 2

Everyone's Reactions

The Devine Beasts launch into action, lining up Slash Unicorn and Blazer Galder for a fusion sequence that gives you goosebumps with its sheer coolness. That’s exactly the essence of what makes robot anime so great. Right after that intense moment, though, some slightly off-beat dialogue pops up—like "S-sushi!" and "Extra toro and sake!"—giving us a breather amidst the battle hype, which was really fun to watch. It felt like everything in this episode boiled down to a girl crashing her boyfriend’s place at night, having a breakup talk through the toilet door, but then happily chowing down on sushi before leaving. It reminded me of the kind of women Toshiki Inoue writes about, making it super relatable. DX Dandivine ships next week, and the ED MV is already up on the official YouTube channel, so I can barely wait for the next episode!
