The flashback showing Vodein and Light being close friends in the past, only to clash due to their different statuses, really tugged at my heartstrings. It’s a bit bittersweet seeing how their friendship has changed over time. I’m also intrigued by the setting where Hero Light was summoned from another world and can return home once he defeats the Demon Beast King. It feels like the roles of the Demon King and Hero are flipped, shaking up the usual 'heroes are righteous' image we’re used to. Alicia spotting and defeating Mirea’s illusory family really highlighted how important sharp eyes are in this series. With the orc sacrifice thrown in, you could feel the tension and lack of margin for error among everyone. The tokusatsu-style scenes were filmed in the rain but still packed a huge punch. Reading about the staff members getting hit by debris up close made me appreciate the visuals even more. Plus, ending at such an unexpected spot means next week’s episode is definitely one not to miss... I can’t wait to watch it!
