Everyone's Reactions
Akio Otsuka and Kazuhiko Inoue are voicing the left and right heads of the Phosphorescent Dragon. Just imagining two big-name veterans pulling off such silly dragon roles makes me laugh. Even though it’s airing late Tuesday nights, I totally get why the timeline exploded as soon as the cast comments were released. The Phosphorescent Dragon loses all his dignity the moment he appears. There was a comment saying the left head is just too goofy and to blame for everything, but being treated like Ghidorah has basically become his permanent status now. It’s a bit bittersweet that it’s exactly as in the manga. Until last time, they kept the gags and serious moments separate like a sandwich, but this episode mixed them together so much that I wasn’t sure what tone to expect. The description of the pacing being like a drunk person’s wobbly walk really hits home. Also, that title—"The Scene Where She Cooks, But She’s Actually Showing Off That She Can Make Serious Meals, So She Wraps Herself in Flames and Draws Her Sword"—is so long. If you don’t read it carefully, you might not even realize which episode it is!
