Episode 1

Everyone's Reactions

The animation quality is insanely good now. Seeing how much better the colors and sense of motion have become really made me feel like all the waiting was worth it. WANIMA's "Kienai Riyuu" for the new OP and ONE OR EIGHT's "Yellow Brick Road" for the ED are both out, and even though there’s no credit sequence footage yet, they both fit the world of Black Clover so well that I just want to listen to them on repeat. I laughed when I read that Asta and Liebe’s dynamic after their reconciliation is now so natural they could basically do a manzai (comedy duo) routine. It’s great to see how naturally they interact despite only reconciling in the final episode of Season 1. The dark, dramatic visuals, the sword scene with the line "Break through your limits," and the depiction of Shadow Magic merging with Demonic Power—it really feels like classic Black Clover heat. I’m feeling it all over again. Next episode is also on Saturday at 11 PM, so I need to adjust my sleep schedule to make sure I don’t miss next week’s.
