In the final episode, Ely’s traps keep clicking shut, watching the gold coin forgers meet their doom one by one was so refreshing. Seeing the spy get perfectly led around by the nose really shows how much Ely excels at this kind of subtle manipulation—she has such a small-time vibe about her. I love that it ends with "My revenge is just beginning," which gives you the feeling that there’s more to come even in the final episode. The author seems to call Ely a witch, but since she worked like an angel for her homeland before this, I feel like 'fallen angel' fits her better. Watching the people of Haldria slowly crumble, the line "they have nowhere else to go" resonated so well and felt a bit bittersweet.
