Episode 5

Everyone's Reactions

Mishou Ran makes a proper debut here, looking super cool as she does her job as an exclusive advisor. Her butterfly motif was gorgeous too. I really liked how Ichigo actually knows about runway occupancy rights, and Ran calling her out for knowing such 'troublesome' details felt great. Even though she seems so fluffy and carefree most of the time, digging into those specific aviation rules shows off her serious side as an idol. At first glance, I thought Ran and Sophie were rivals, but they're actually on the same team. That twist must have been a bit surprising for first-time viewers. Also, the 'Beautiful Blade' (Ran) is strict but still kindly teaches the behind-the-scenes stuff. Watching this while thinking about how the entire cast and staff of Aikatsu are so united made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
